  • Preferred experience reading blueprints and grades.

  • We are currently looking for experienced concrete workers and finishers who will be responsible for placing, finishing, and protecting concrete.
  • 3 years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
  • Experience in Flat Work, Curb Work, Concrete Cap Repairs.

  • Ability to take flat work pour from prep to completion. Place and finish concrete of any type; Trowel, Broom, Exposed.

  • We are currently seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 10 years’ experience who is familiar with Off-Road Heavy Equipment.
  • Must be able to drive a manual service truck
  • CDL Preferred – or ability to train and receive CDL

Overview:

Dan Cristiani Excavating is a contractor with a diverse group of related companies licensed to perform work around the Midwest. We have worked hard for over 53 years to offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of utility construction, and excavating services, including earth moving, land clearing, and demolition. We have broad experience in stormwater drainage, water lines, sanitary lines, and stormwater retention.

We are looking to add a team member that is passionate about driving growth and opportunities for the company. They would coordinate with Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Drivers, and Technicians.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Office Operations: day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring smooth office operations within a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Offer administrative support to all our functioning shops. Collaborate with shop managers to offer clerical support when needed.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for handling inquiries and providing timely responses to emails, calls, and in-person requests.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize company records and billing documentation.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input and update shop-related data in software systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Driver Support: Maintaining compliance with DOT regulations, vehicle inspection records.
  • Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by maintaining time records for shop employees.
  • General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to management and staff, such as preparing reports, filing, and performing other clerical tasks as needed.

  • Experience in Administrative Roles: Previous experience in administrative positions, preferably within Logistics, Transportation, or Heavy Equipment, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific tasks.
  • Proficiency in Office Software and Systems: Strong skills in office software (Microsoft Office Suite), as well as experience with transportation management software or similar systems used for scheduling, billing, and data entry.
  • Customer Service Experience: A background in customer service, handling inquiries, providing assistance to clients, shop managers, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Experience in Billing and Invoicing: Hands-on experience with invoicing, billing, and financial record-keeping, ideally in a Trucking or Heavy Equipment setting.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proven track record of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • A Class-A CDL is desired.
